Summary

Supports the Environmental and Sustainability teams in advancing workplace environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, and waste minimization efforts. This internship provides hands-on experience in environmental auditing, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), data interpretation, and compliance documentation. The intern will also gain valuable experience in preparing and presenting audit or project findings to corporate management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform or assist in conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) on company products.
• Identify opportunities to improve waste minimization and resource efficiency within operations.
• Evaluate materials and chemicals used in the facility to ensure TRI-Reporting (Form R) compliance.
• Assist in environmental and sustainability audits, data collection, and compliance verification.
• Support development of Product Carbon Footprints or Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
• Prepare reports and presentations summarizing audit findings and sustainability metrics.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss environmental performance improvements.
• Assist with additional environmental and sustainability projects as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with company data governance, quality, and operational standards.
• Uphold Positronic's standards of integrity, quality, and operational excellence.
• Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and / or the safety coordinator.
• Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
• Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work is performed primarily in a production and office environment with exposure to machinery, moderate noise, and standard shop materials.
