Tax Preparer

Description

We are seeking experienced Seasonal Tax Preparers to support a high-volume CPA firm in San Jose for the upcoming 2025 tax season. This role is fully onsite and ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and have hands-on experience preparing a variety of tax returns.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual (1040) and business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, etc.)
• Review financial information, supporting documents, and prior-year returns for accuracy and completeness
• Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize client liability
• Communicate with clients to gather missing information or clarify discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Assist with extensions, amendments, and other seasonal tax tasks as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
