Job Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • College Degree with experience preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong work history
  • Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
  • Active Directory
  • Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
  • Knowledge of administrating and maintaining all the relevant technologies : VMWare Vsphere
  • SAN or storage virtualization servers using iSCSI
  • Dell and HP server hardware
  • Cisco, Enterasys / Extreme, Barracuda and Aruba hardware
  • Microsoft applications
  • IP infrastructure

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the position will include :

  • Administering the operation of all LAN / WAN-related network services according to company policies and procedures
  • Coordinating and implementing network software and hardware upgrade
  • Troubleshooting and resolving LAN / WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems
  • Work with vendors to resolve complex network problems
  • Determine plan layout for new hardware or modifications to existing layout
  • Work as a team member with other technical staff to ensure high-quality support services to end users
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network
  • Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
  • Participate in our on-call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Additional responsibilities may include :

  • Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
  • Oversee the installation of hardware and software
  • Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members
