CNC Programmer I

SUMMARY : Performs a wide variety of tasks to produce and support the production of prototypes and finished goods parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

• Under general supervision operates Vertical Milling Center (CNC Lathes, Mills), loading and unloading materials, setting up and calibrating equipment and accessories.
• Monitors equipment for preventative maintenance. Responsible for maintenance of the fabrication systems.
• Work with Engineering to develop fixtures and select tooling required to manufacture parts.
• Work with Engineering to prove out CNC programs for machine tools.
• Troubleshoot any machine variances to maintain product quality. Conducts quality checks using appropriate measurement tools (calipers, tapes, height gages, check fixtures etc.) to ensure parts produced match requirements.
• Reads and understands the production order. Uses that information to run the correct parts and quantities.
• Fills out all tracking sheets and make sure jobs are complete.
• Oversees training of CNC operators.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized working environment. Follows machine maintenance and area cleanup.
• Follows company safety protocol and procedures, such as wearing proper PPE as dictated by the machine being used, reporting safety incidents and accidents, etc.
• Consistently achieves or exceeds operational volume and quality goals. Looks for areas to improve and makes suggestions to supervisor.
• Follows the attendance policy in a strict manner.

Base Pay Range : 21.43 - $28.94
