LPN - Weight Management Clinic

Overview

The Weight Management Clinic is within the Center for Children’s Healthy Lifestyles and Nutrition, and addresses childhood obesity prevention and treatment through a multidisciplinary approach for children, teens and young adults ages 2-21 years. Effective weight management involves caring for the whole person. In Weight Management, patients receive care from a dedicated team of experts who are passionate about helping people achieve a healthier lifestyle. Our team includes pediatricians, nurses and nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, exercise physiologists, pediatric psychologists, education coordinators and social workers. We partner with families, children, and teens to create actionable plans to help them achieve and maintain a healthier weight.

The nurses in Weight Management staff both the clinic and phone nursing roles, including patient and family education, medication administration, DME / Prior Authorization management and managing forms and Patient Portal communication.

LPNs provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician. Participates in the development and review of care management plans and in patient / family education.

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $22.13 / hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work / Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
