Special Operations Policy Analyst

The Special Operations Support Policy Staff Officer II will provide critical support to the HUMINT & Sensitive Activities Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). This role involves supporting the oversight, management, and development of policies related to sensitive activities and special operations.

Responsibilities

• Policy Development and Coordination : Support the oversight, management, and coordination of complex sensitive programs and activities.
• Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the development of policies related to sensitive activities and support for issues requiring short notice information and decision support for DoD senior leaders.
• Research and Analysis : Gather, synthesize, and prepare background information and read-ahead materials for issues and engagements regarding intelligence and intelligence-related policy, program, and activity support to special operations, including counterterrorism and irregular warfare.
• Strategy and Policy Implementation : Support the development, review, and revision of strategy and policy direction for the coordination, assessment, reporting, and conduct of sensitive activities. Assist in implementing solutions that aid in decision-making processes related to special operations.
