Summary :

Our client is a major refinery in the Long Beach area serving the fuel transportation and aviation fuel needs of the western United States. Operates an integrated network of strategic assets that creates and sells refined petroleum products from feedstock acquisition to wholesale commercial and retail sales outlets. They are looking for a Piping Designer who has experience with or willing to learn AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Job duties include :

Generating field sketches to complete the design of heavy industrial piping systems.

Develop piping drawings and piping isometrics with Bills of Material.

Mentoring less experienced designers in field work and detailed design work.

Ensure compliance with required standards and specifications and client requirements for plant physical layout and safety in design practices.

Performs interdisciplinary coordination and design review.

Obtain understand and review required vendor data to complete piping design projects.

Qualifications :

Able to complete all aspects of detailed piping design drawings.

Prefer BS Degree

Knowledge in refinery practice regarding piping specifications and standards highly desirable.

Understand and meets budgets and schedules.

8-10 years of relevant piping design experience on refinery / petrochem projects.

Experience with AutoCAD and a 3D modeling software.

Strong PC skills.

Good written and oral communication skills ability to work in a team

environment.
