Position overview :
The Boise State University Department of Management within the College of Business and Economics is hiring an assistant professor in the area of entrepreneurship to begin in Fall 2026.
Our department and college value both teaching and research so a strong candidate will have both a stream of research in progress and the aspiration to excel as a teacher. This position will teach undergraduate and / or graduate courses in entrepreneurship in face-to-face and online formats. The initial teaching load is 2-2 for the first three years. The standard teaching load is 3-3 with reductions to 2-3 or 2-2 dependent upon research productivity. A commitment to service and collegial interaction with other faculty staff and students is desirable.

The Department of Management hosts the most majors in the College of Business and Economics with over 1000 students majoring in Business Administration Entrepreneurship Human Resource Management or International Business. The Department is also home to over 250 non-traditional students in our innovative online Management degree completion graduate education we provide courses in four MBA programs including our nationally recognized online MBA program.

The colleges academic units are housed in the Micron Business and Economics Building a world-class facility with state-of-the-art classrooms and offices a Bloomberg-equipped trading room faculty collaboration spaces the Imagination Lab a student commons and a cafe. The building is a short distance from the beautiful Boise River. It is both geothermal and solar-assisted. This environment stimulates collaboration and creativity.

Salary and Benefits :
Base salary of $133700 is competitive with AACSB median salaries for public research institutions.
Our standard faculty contract is a 9-month contract (unless otherwise noted) with pay and benefits spread over 12 months. More information about faculty contracts and work days is available here.
