Director of Development

Position Summary

The Director of Development is responsible for designing, overseeing, coordinating, and executing all fundraising for Regina Caeli Academy ("RCA"). This position is entrusted with the stewardship and promotion of the RCA's mission through strategic leadership in fundraising, communications, community engagement, and stakeholder outreach. This individual will work closely with the President and the Board of Directors to establish and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan that will support the institution's mission and strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, oversee and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, grant acquisition, corporate and foundation relations, special events (the "Gala"), Center fundraising and donor pipeline development, and reporting.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Encompasses internal and external communications, brand messaging, public relations, digital presence, and mission-based storytelling in support of all fundraising efforts.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with donors and prospective donors to ensure that their philanthropic goals are aligned with the institution's mission and strategic goals.
• Work collaboratively with the President and other internal key stakeholders to establish and achieve fundraising goals.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Development team and ensure that all team members have the resources and support they need to succeed.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications plan, in coordination with the marketing department that effectively promotes the institution to donors, prospects, and the broader community.
• Establish structures and programming to engage, communicate with, and mobilize a national constituent network of alumni, parents and friends of RCA.
• Ensure that all fundraising and development activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and in accordance with RCA's policies and procedures.
• Oversees systems and practices that foster donor loyalty, gratitude, and long-term engagement through relationship management, gift acknowledgment, stewardship and recognition programs.
• Serve as a key spokesperson for the institution and represent the institution at various community events and forums.
• Oversee and manage the donor database system that includes CRM system documentation and proper financial reporting.

Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student / teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
