Birchwood Suites Enhanced Assisted Living & Memory Care, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Administrator to oversee daily operations and uphold our commitment to exceptional resident care. We are a warm, boutique-style senior living community, and we're looking for a leader who values teamwork, quality, and resident-centered service.
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assisted Living Administrator located in East Northport, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of an 85-bed assisted living facility
- Ensure full compliance with NYS DOH and all regulatory requirements
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to all staff members
- Maintain high resident care standards and satisfaction
- Oversee admissions, assessments, care planning, and resident services
- Manage budgets, staffing schedules, and facility resources effectively
- Engage with families, residents, and community partners
- Respond to emergencies and ensure a safe, well-maintained environment
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
- Represent Birchwood Suites with professionalism and integrity
Skills & Qualifications
Strong background in assisted living or long-term care management, with solid knowledge of senior care operationsProven leadership and supervisory experience, including staff motivation and schedule managementKnowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care, memory support strategies, and resident-centered practicesBachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience consideredMinimum five years of operations management with demonstrated success in meeting financial and organizational goalsExperience with budgeting, financial oversight, and operational performance in senior living or healthcareUnderstanding of medication administration protocols and regulatory complianceExcellent communication skills for working with residents, families, staff, and outside agenciesAbility to navigate and interpret regulatory requirements for adult care facilitiesStrong knowledge of NYS DOH regulations (including Part 488 / 487)Valid credentials required per NYS regulations (if applicable : Administrator certification, case management experience, etc.)Experience as an Assisted Living Administrator or managerial role in a healthcare facility preferredSchedule

Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in Independent Living and Senior Living Communities.Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.Understanding of Long-term Care and regulations governing assisted living facilities.Experience in Budgeting and financial management for efficient operation of the community.Proven leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage a team.State-specific Administrator license or certification as required.Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
