Mental Health Worker / Counselor

Sylmar Health and Rehabilitation Center is a locked psychiatric facility. We are currently seeking Mental Health Workers / Counselors for our residential mental health treatment program for men and women . Pay starting at $23 / hr.

Job Summary : As a Mental Health Worker / Counselor your duties will range from facilitating group counseling, completing documentation, assisting and encouraging residents' participation in daily activities and monitoring resident safety.

Job Responsibilities :

• Act as a group leader for an assigned caseload.
• Conduct group therapy and individual counseling as needed.
• Complete all required paperwork (weekly, monthly reports, etc.).
• Manage the daily activities of the residents.
• Attendance at all mandatory staff and in-service meetings.
• Performance of all assigned daily duties.
• Monitoring Resident safety.
• Crisis intervention and management.
• Performance of all other duties requested by supervisor.
