Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager

The Environmental, Health Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading and implementing programs that promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship. This role ensures that all health, safety, and environmental programs align with federal, state, and local regulations, including Cal / OSHA, EPA, DTSC, RCRA, DOT, SCAQMD, FRA, NFPA, and Fire Code requirements. The EHS Manager will drive safety culture, training, and risk mitigation strategies to support a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Health & Safety :

• Ensure company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update policies to enhance workplace safety and minimize risks.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure continuous safety improvement.
• Manage injury and illness reporting, including performing root cause analyses and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
• Oversee the company’s workers’ compensation program, ensuring efficient case management and return-to-work strategies.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs in both English and Spanish.
• Establish, implement, and maintain emergency preparedness procedures and response plans.
• Track and report EHS performance metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership for continuous safety improvements.
• Lead regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with local, state, and federal standards, and serve as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
• Lead monthly safety committee meetings, fostering open communication and a proactive safety culture.
