About The Position

Certifications : BCLS

Must-Have :

• Home health experience with OASIS training and experience
• IV skills and wound care experience
• Experience with general medical diagnoses and high-risk diagnoses (heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, stroke)
• Post-operative care experience
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for home visits
• COVID vaccination or exemption form on file
• Flu vaccination or declination with mandatory mask-wearing while at work

Description :

Locals accepted at the same rate.

Skilled home care experience is required.

Private duty nursing experience only will not be accepted.

The role involves home skilled visits – approximately 6-8 per day.

Day and shift hours can vary based on the needs of the home health office.

Common shifts are Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM.

Weekend shifts may alternate based on office needs.

Responsibilities include cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressing, wound vac dressing, and Pleurx / Asept drain care.

You will also be responsible for Foley catheter care, staple / suture removal, glucometer use, pro-time machine usage, lab draws / venipuncture, IV skills, and PICC line or midline care and dressing changes.

You will access and deaccess subcutaneous ports as needed.

Must have recent patient care experience within the last three months.

Skill areas include cardiopulmonary assessment, ABI compression dressing, wound vac care, and IV management.

Interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy.

The daily census may range from 400 to 1000 across all locations.
