job_description.job_card.job_descriptionWork individually with students on speech and language goals Run social groups in classrooms Manage students' AAC systems Train direct service staff Provide ongoing support and consultation to staff members Develop formal and informal speech and language programs Collaborate on IEP goals and evaluate and report on student progress Conduct applied research Massachusetts SLPA licensure required Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis strongly preferred Experience working with children and / or adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities Strong written and oral communication skills Caseload that allows for consults with students as well as training, collaboration, and professional development Dedicated time for each student's individualized needs Speech services delivered on a consult model, which allows for flexibility to spend time on what the student needs most each week. This can include, but is not limited to : Observing speech programs being run by staff Training staff Probing new skills with students Developing speech and language programs Writing IEP goals Conducting assessments.
