DATA ANALYST - TRAUMA
Position Summary
The Trauma Clinical Data Analyst assists with coordinating routine activities associated with the trauma registry, including data gathering, data abstraction / entry / coding, data analysis, data validation and maintenance, reporting, and additional clerical duties such as filing, organizing, and assisting with meetings. The Trauma Clinical Data Analyst supports relationships with, and submission of data to the region, and State, National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB), and the Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) for maintenance of state designation, national verification, as well as national benchmarking.

The Trauma Clinical Data Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the hospital’s trauma program by ensuring the accurate collection, coding, analysis, and reporting of trauma-related data. Hazardous Exposure Category
Category III - Includes tasks that involve no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and Category I tasks are not a condition of employment. The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood; body fluids or tissues (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone anywhere might encounter potential exposure to body fluids.)
