Summary :
This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, auditing, and updating Epic OP time preference cards; ensuring accuracy of Epic OP time preference cards and provides on-going management, reporting and utilization analysis for all procedures and surgeons across the system
Responsibilities :
- Works with OR staff to ensure correct supplies and instruments are assigned to preference cards, and preference cards are assigned to correct case and physician
- Provides on-going preference card maintenance by making deletions, additions or edits to preference cards as indicated; coordinates changes with surgical supply chain
- Performs routine on-going audits of surgical cases and reports discrepancies; provides preference card change recommendations based on utilization

- Meets with new surgeons to assign preference card for procedures performed
- Creates and maintains a process for on-going leadership review of cost savings opportunities, patient safety, request for additions / deletions, etc.
- Provides reports as requested on supply utilization and case cost by physician and / or case type
- Works with the Epic team to leverage best practices and maximize the Epic Op time module to optimize efficiency and reduce wastage and ensure accuracy of preference cards
Other information :
Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of Epic OP Time EMR and proficient use of Microsoft products including excel and PowerPoint. Must have knowledge of charge capture and reconciliation process. Lawson suite knowledge and proficiency required
This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
