Description

Skilled Nursing Facility Transportation Driver will be responsible for transporting residents in a courteous and timely manner to and from events, programs, shopping and appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and timely transportation of residents to various locations
  • Coordinate necessary vehicle maintenance. Vehicle related responsibilities include but are not limited to : Performing pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle; maintaining cleanliness of vehicle
  • Responsible of noting and possibly resolving resident complaints. Reports more complex issues and complaints to Administrator for resolution
  • Responsible for greeting and directing residents, visitors and vendors to the appropriate location
  • Maintain visitor security procedures- ensure guests and residents sign in / out, as required
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls. Provide callers with company related information such as address, directions, fax number, website and other related information
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail process- including sorting and distribution of resident and company mail
  • May be required to assist with clerical duties such as faxing, filing, etc.
  • Uses appropriate resources to ensure immediate work area, lobby and public restrooms are clean, organized and presentable, at all times
  • Provides shopping and errands for residents and Facility, as requested

  • Demonstrates the ability to provide accurate and detailed information about routes and journey
  • Competent at checking vehicle for problems and performing pre / post trip maintenance tasks
  • Committed to efficiently helping passengers when loading / unloading assistive devices
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide a secure environment for passengers while in transit
  • Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a position in a post-acute setting that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Weekend and holiday shifts will be required.

    HIPAA

    Team members are required to adhere to policies and procedures implementing HIPAA requirements for the privacy and security of protected health information. Team member are permitted to use and / or disclose only minimum amount of Protected Health Information necessary to complete assigned tasks. Reports all suspected violation of company's HIPAA policies or procedures to facility CEO.

  • Strong computer and Microsoft Application skills. Must have an ability to learn new systems

  • Required Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Texas Current CNA Certification
  • Required License

  • Valid Texas Driver License
