Key responsibilities include :

• Piping Installation & Maintenance : Plan, prepare, and install piping and plumbing systems using a wide range of materials, including metal and non-metal pipes. Perform maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
• System Inspection & Testing : Inspect worksites for obstructions, test piping systems for leaks under pressure, and ensure systems meet all safety and quality standards.
• Fabrication & Assembly : Cut, thread, assemble, and install piping using appropriate joining techniques such as threading, soldering, brazing, fused or cemented joints, and welding. Weld pipe supports to structural steel as needed.
• Blueprint & Specification Interpretation : Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and instructions to create installation plans and ensure compliance with specifications and codes.
• HVAC & Refrigeration Systems : Install and service refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including piping, compressors, pumps, and controls.
• Safety & Compliance : Adhere to all safety procedures, building codes, EPA, OSHA regulations, and company policies. Properly handle hazardous waste by removing old pipe coverings in accordance with regulations.
• Material Handling & Maintenance : Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment. Perform minor maintenance on tools and machinery to keep operations running smoothly.
• Documentation & Recordkeeping : Maintain detailed safety logs, inspection reports, and installation records.
• Team Coordination : Collaborate with managers and other trades to schedule maintenance, repairs, and installations that minimize disruption to operations.
