Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and refine daily transportation schedules that address the unique needs of our riders, using both system-generated routes and your creative problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with the Dispatch team and Drivers to gather essential information about each client’s transportation needs and routing preferences, demonstrating empathy and understanding, then leverage that information to coordinate transportation activities, matching drivers with riders to achieve the best outcomes.
- Adapt schedules in real-time to accommodate unforeseen circumstances such as driver absences, vehicle issues, and last-minute requests, maintaining a flexible and solution-oriented approach.
- Utilize strong analytical skills to identify routing anomalies within the scheduling software to calculate drive times and optimize routes for maximum efficiency.
- Proactively notify passengers of any schedule adjustments, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Maintain accurate records of driver routes and input data into our timekeeping system.
- Prepare daily reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Arrange for relief vehicles and / or drivers as needed in the event of accidents or vehicle malfunctions.
- Report any significant issues or incidents involving drivers, passengers, or vehicles to the Lead Transportation Dispatcher and Transportation Supervisor.
- Undertake other projects and duties assigned, contributing to the overall success of our transportation services.
Work Environment :
Primarily in an office environment, this role requires the ability to perform under pressure, particularly during peak operation periods, tight deadlines, or when addressing unexpected challenges that demand quick decision-making and effective coordination. The work environment may vary from lively and fast-paced to quiet and independent, requiring adaptability and focus.
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit and may have extended periods of using a telephone, computer, and other electronic devices. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The vision requirements include the ability to adjust focus, depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision, and close vision.

Required Education / Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferredAt least one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education / training and experienceWorking knowledge of scheduling software is preferred.Bilingual (Spanish) a plusKey Skills and Abilities :
