About The Position

Description :

The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in NICU.

Ratios are 1 : 2-3 for patient care.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in a NICU setting.

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.

Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be needed.

Weekend requirements include a minimum of 4-5 weekend shifts (Saturday / Sunday) per 6-week schedule period, along with a minimum of 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule period.

Certifications required include BLS and NRP, with STABLE preferred.

Skills required include blood glucose monitoring, feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage), isolation precautions, and IV therapy competence.

The patient population will primarily consist of neonates.

General tasks will include stabilizing and transferring higher acuity or lower gestational age newborns.

Expectations also include assisting with procedures such as needle aspiration and lumbar puncture.

Successful candidates must be able to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.

Orientation includes a total of 40 hours of training.

Reference requirements include two professional references, one from a supervisor level or above.

Candidate experience must show no gaps in employment greater than 90 days within the past year.

Floating between departments may be required to meet facility needs.

Travel experience is required.

Additional training may be needed on various medical equipment and compliance modules.

Drug screening will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
