PAY SHOWS EARNING POTENTIAL WITH GENEROUS SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS

Compensation ranges, including differentials (weekday evenings, overnights, weekend days, weekend evenings, and Weekend overnights) by shift :

Evenings : $65-$75.00 / hr

Nights : $68.00-$78.00 / hr

Weekend Days : $64.00-$74.00 / hr

Weekend Evenings : $69.00-$79.00 / hr.

Weekend Nights : $72.00 / hr-$82.00 / hr

Mass General Brigham is looking for Registered Nurses to join our Internal Resource Pool (IRP). The IRP will allow RNs flexibility in scheduling short- or long-term assignments within our Mass General Brigham Hospitals at a premium rate of pay. The clinical nurse is a licensed registered nurse who is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for specific patients and families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff. The clinical nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. They collaborate with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve efficient patient outcomes. Clinical nurses ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family.

Provides competent, compassionate patient- and family-centered nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.

b) Articulates the professional nursing role to the patient, family, and health team members.

c) Identifies, plans, and implements nursing interventions. Facilitates, and evaluates outcomes of nursing care for an individual patient or group of patients

d) Coordinates involvement of the patient, family, and health team members in patient care, including patient / family education, teaching, and discharge planning.

e) Documents relevant patient data / information.

f) Communicates the plan of care and other pertinent information to / from other health care team members. Promotes continuity of care through effective hand-offs.

g) Helps define standards of excellence for patient care; participates in improvement of patient care services in a cost-effective way.

h) Performs specific functions as described in the unit Scope of Service.

i) Provides care appropriate to age group of patients on assigned unit(s) as described in relevant unit Scope of Service.

j) Participates in, and contributes to, performance improvement activities.

k) Integrates the six aims of performance improvement into care delivery :

2) Collaborates with other professionals and directs support staff and nonprofessional nursing personnel in maintaining recognized standards

a) Teaches and advises all nonprofessional nursing personnel for whom they is responsible.

b) Participates in orientation of new permanent and temporary staff members.

c) Appropriately uses nursing resources.

d) Interprets hospital and departmental policies and procedures to nurses and other health team members

a) Utilizes resources efficiently to facilitate optimal patient care.

b) Provides input to the Nursing Director / nurse leader regarding unit needs.

c) Participates in unit and departmental committees for formulation of nursing and hospital policies and procedures.

i) Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills based on current nursing education practices.

ii) Adheres to Department of Nursing requirements for required training.

iv) Contributes to relevant committees, professional meetings, continuing educational and / or formal academic programs.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and / or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable) :

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Minimum 2 years of RN experience

Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
