ND HHS Human Resources –  HR Business Partner Team Lead – Statewide

The state’s largest agency is seeking an HR Business Partner Team Lead  to lead and mentor a team of HR professionals to deliver high-quality, team member-centric services to assigned business units.

As an HR Business Partner Team Lead for ND Department of Health and Human Services (ND HHS), you'll act as a strategic advisor to Division and Section leaders on all HR-related matters, including but not limited to talent management, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development. In addition, you will lead a team responsible for implementing HR programs, strategies, policies and procedures that align with business objectives and legal requirements.

To thrive in this position, you must be effective at collaborating, consulting, coaching and influencing others to secure buy-in. You must be a strategic thinker, and also have the ability to analyze specific details in carrying out your role. You use metrics to identify trends and to make data-driven decisions and recommendations for continuous improvement. And, you must be able to navigate effectively and efficiently in a matrixed structure that requires collaboration.

To be considered for this position , you must meet the following minimum qualifications :

• have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, organizational psychology, or related field
• significant HR Business Partner experience supporting multiple business units within a large organization
• experience managing multiple Human Resources team members

Preference will be given to candidates possessing certification in the HR field and with experience in large organizations with multiple locations.

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work from home anywhere within North Dakota.
