About The Position

We’re seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to provide locum coverage for a Level II Trauma Center in Tacoma, Washington.

Position Details :

Start Date : December 25

Schedule : 2 weeks per month (ongoing, 6–9 months)

Setting : Hospital and outpatient clinic

Duties : 24 / 7 ER coverage with dedicated PA support; approximately 3 outpatient clinic mornings per week (schedule flexible)

Required Procedures : Full spectrum of orthopedic cases (excluding complex pelvic)

EMR : EPIC

Support : Hospital team and clinic MA

Experience & Requirements :

Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery — Required

Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery — Required

Minimum 5 years of Level II Trauma experience — Required

Active WA license or IMLC with LOQ — Preferred

BLS and DEA — Required (can be obtained prior to start)

Clean malpractice — Highly preferred

Compensation Highlights :

Hourly : $300 / hr

On-Call : $2400 per 24 hours (includes 4 gratis hours)

Holiday Call : $4,000

Credentialing : 60–90 days

Orthopedic Surgeon with solid trauma experience, comfortable covering a busy Level II Trauma Center, and available for consistent 2-week blocks.
