Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation provides skilled therapy services under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA assists residents in improving strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence to enhance overall quality of life in a caring and collaborative environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist to help residents achieve individualized goals.

Provide direct physical therapy interventions, including exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks.

Observe, measure, and report resident performance, progress, and response to treatment to the PT and interdisciplinary team.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policy and state and federal regulations.

Assist with discharge planning, resident and family education, and equipment training as needed.

Communicate effectively with nursing, therapy, and other departments to ensure coordinated resident care.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment.

Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards consistent with Mountain View Health and Rehabilitation’s mission and values.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Current Montana state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.

Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely during therapy sessions.

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching required.

Must be able to meet the physical demands consistent with resident care delivery.
