The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for an HVAC 9 Month Adjunct Faculty position. The faculty member will be responsible to teach one or more HVAC courses, including the HVAC courses covering Residential HVAC and Systems Design. UA-PTC provides access to high-quality education that promotes student learning and enables individuals to develop to their fullest potential.
Position Summary :
The HVAC Instructor should have a minimum of five years’ technical experience in the residential and / or commercial HVAC field and should be familiar with the subjects covered in class to include standard air -cooled split systems, chillers, water cooled condensers, cooling towers, ancillary equipment, VRF equipment, and basic control devices. Knowledge of system sizing is a plus. Knowledge of duct design and sizing as it relates to airflow a plus. The ability to guide students in failure modality and troubleshooting techniques is required.
