TAKE CONTROL and join our team as a Sr. Control Systems Design Engineer ! We're seeking a motivated and talented professional to join our forward-thinking team. This position is based in our Metairie, LA office and offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

About the Role

The Sr. Control Systems Design Engineer is responsible for the design of control systems. This includes a working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Industrial Control Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee development of complete electrical drawing packages using CAD software, such as control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and loop diagrams, ensuring designs meet applicable standards.
• Develop control systems engineering documentation such as I / O lists, control narratives, cable schedules, and BOMs.
• Design and specify industrial instrumentation and control equipment.
• Select and specify components such as PLC hardware, VFDs, power supplies, etc.
• Participate in QA / QC Testing of Control Panels in our Panel Shop.
• Participate in jobsite and shop visits as required by project scope and department and / or project meetings.
• Consult with clients to conceptualize and deliver success.
• Interact with project managers, project team leads, other discipline leads, clients, contractors and other third parties.
