Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer to join our Army Tactical Network IPS team on-site in Aberdeen MD. As a Senior Technical Writer, you will play a vital role in creating clear and concise documentation for technical processes, products, and systems.

Responsibilities :

Advises, manages, and mentors personnel assigned to technical documentation function.

Interfaces with engineers and technical professionals in writing, editing and publishing various types of documents (e.g., test plans, test reports, survey reports).

Oversees in-house production flow of technical publications.

Tracks and monitors flow of all documents from inception to distribution of final copies.

Identifies and corrects problem areas as they arise.

Provides final quality assurance check for all document deliverables.

Participates in department and company-wide proposal writing projects.

Often serves as proposal coordinator for large production efforts.

Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

Plans and leads major technology assignments.

Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.

May supervise others.

Responsibilities

Must have a SECRET level clearance

Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited academic institution or military school in English or Journalism

Minimum of six (6) years' professional technical writing experience producing technical documentation on programs supporting projects of similar scope and complexity to this requirement

Experience with MIL STD 40 0 51
