About the Role

TwelveLabs is at the forefront of video AI technology, transforming how businesses understand and utilize their video data by leveraging our multimodal video foundation model. Our Business Strategy and Operations team is dedicated to driving the adoption of these powerful models by helping TwelveLabs to operate efficiency and pursue high‑leverage strategic projects that push forward the company’s mission.

We’re looking for a Head of Business Operations to serve as a strategic thought partner to our executive team and operational backbone for our scaling organization. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and cross‑functional enablement and helps drive the initiatives that will define how Twelve Labs operates as we scale 10x and beyond. You’ll be the connective tissue between our technical ambitions and business realities, translating frontier AI research into go‑to‑market execution, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. This is a rare opportunity to shape the operational DNA of a category‑defining AI company during its highest‑leverage growth phase.

In this role you will :

Own and run our core business operating rhythms including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and executive business metrics reviews.

Design and facilitate our company‑wide OKR process, helping leadership and teams craft meaningful objectives and track progress against key results each quarter.

Lead strategic planning processes including annual planning, quarterly planning, and scenario planning that translate our technical roadmap into actionable business plans.

Drive execution of our highest‑priority cross‑functional initiatives spanning engineering, product, GTM, and operations—acting as the quarterback for company‑critical projects.

Partner with sales, partnerships, and customer success teams to build the operating models, and performance analytics that enable efficient scaling.

Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and fundraising processes, translating complex technical achievements and market dynamics into compelling business narratives.

Build and manage the Business Operations team, hiring and developing talented operators who can scale our operational infrastructure and drive strategic initiatives.

You may be a good fit if you have :

3+ in‑house at a high‑growth technology company in a Business Operations, Chief of Staff, Strategy & Operations, or similar role where you owned business rhythms and led strategic execution.

4+ years at a top‑tier management consulting firm, developing sharp problem‑solving skills and comfort navigating complex strategic challenges.

Experience managing, developing, and mentoring high‑performing teams, ideally including direct experience in hiring and scaling operational or analytical functions.

Experience designing and running business operating systems including OKRs, business reviews, executive dashboards, and metrics frameworks at scaling startups.

Proven track record of leading complex, cross‑functional projects with measurable business impact, including market entry strategies, resource allocation frameworks, or GTM optimization.

Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling, unit economics analysis, and data visualization. Comfortable with SQL, Excel / Sheets, and BI tools.

Outstanding communication skills and executive presence, with ability to distill complex analyses into clear narratives for audiences from technical teams to board members.

Entrepreneurial mindset with high ownership mentality : energized by both strategic thinking and operational execution, comfortable with ambiguity, and willing to roll up your sleeves.

Experience working in fast‑paced environments where technical excellence is core to the culture.
