Nuvance Health Medical Group is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantfor our Employee Health Services Department at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Employee Health / Occ Health spans all 7 hospitals. We service 16,000 employees and have contracts with multiple companies and school in NY for Occ Health. Job Responsibilities :

Provides medical care in an occupational health setting including acute care, follow-up care and medical surveillance examinations for employees in the Vassar Hospital area :

• Assesses and treats injuries & illnesses
• Handles injury case management including development of plans to return employees to the workplace
• Conducts post offer physical examinations.
• Conducts periodic and medical surveillance examinations.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Communicates with employers regarding work status and suitability for employment.
• Performs periodic case review to monitor quality of care.
• Works closely with department manager and Medical Director to determine physician assistants' work schedules, patient flow patterns & other general duties.
• Conducts ergonomic and safety work site evaluations.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position
