About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Controller to provide executive oversight of all accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for general ledger operations, intercompany reconciliation, consolidations, statutory reporting, and all aspects of accounts payable / receivable and payroll. This role requires directing the close cycles and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SAP accounting standards. The VP, Controller will also serve as the lead technical accounting authority, addressing complex matters such as revenue recognition, reinsurance accounting, and lease standards, and will be involved in the analysis of financial implications of new business structures and transactions. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and a CPA is required. A minimum of 10 years of advancing accounting leadership experience, with a focus on P&C insurance accounting, is essential. The role demands expertise in both GAAP and statutory reporting frameworks, as well as a strong understanding of reinsurance structures and program-related financial mechanics. The ideal candidate will have a background in high-growth or rapidly evolving environments, be a skilled user of contemporary financial technologies, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. The position also involves leading the implementation of new accounting standards, overseeing regulatory submissions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support enterprise financial strategies.
