We are seeking a Line Cook to join the team at our growing tavern and grill. In this position, you will be responsible for using from scratch ingredients to prepare delicious meals for our customers. The ideal candidate is experienced, creative, and committed to creating an excellent experience for patrons. Duties and Responsibilities :
Plan daily prep list and prep necessary food itemsSet up the kitchen with necessary tools, equipment, and food itemsPrepare food and present it in an appealing mannerMaintain clean dish area, wash and put away all dish items to proper placeMaintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessaryFollow all food safety regulationsParticipate in daily kitchen opening and closing proceduresPerforms other duties as assigned managementClean and filter oil in fryersQualifications :
Previous experience in a similar role is a mustServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification is a plusKnowledge of culinary techniques and recipes and ability to follow recipesAbility to remain calm and thrive under pressureExcellent time management skillsAbility to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 poundsSkilled in using slicers for prepping food items
