Packaging Process Engineer - High-Speed Equipment & Packaging Design

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company undergoing expansion, is seeking a Packaging Process Engineer for their Macon, GA facility. This hybrid role blends packaging development and process engineering, with a strong emphasis on hands-on work with high-speed automated packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will lead improvement projects and provide direct manufacturing support does not sit behind a desk.

Location : Onsite in Macon, GA

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot packaging equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure packaging processes align with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Manage the design, development, and engineering of packaging for new and existing products.
• Provide hands-on support for high-speed automated packaging equipment (e.g., case packers, palletizers)
• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance packaging efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging systems into production lines.
• Apply engineering principles to optimize packaging materials, formats, and equipment performance.
• Support continuous improvement efforts across packaging and manufacturing operations.
