Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance, including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, and mobility as needed.
• Support behavioral and communication goals under the guidance of parents, therapists, or healthcare professionals.
• Engage patients in structured activities to promote learning, play, and social interaction.
• Encourage positive behaviors using reinforcement techniques as outlined in the individual's care plan.
• Monitor and report changes in behavior, mood, or health to the supervising nurse or case manager.
• Assist with transportation to therapy sessions, medical appointments, or community activities, depending on patient needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment within the home.
• Document care activities and patient progress according to agency or family guidelines.
