What You Will Do :

The Self-Pay Patient Account Representative - Healthcare plays a vital role in our client's business office by handling both incoming and outgoing calls with patients and insurance companies to effectively resolve patient accounts. This position follows all client policies and procedures while ensuring exceptional service to our patients.

Bilingual Spanish Required

This position is based out of our San Antonio, TX office and requires individuals to work an eight-hour shift between the hours of 7 : 00 AM CT and 5 : 00 PM CT, Monday through Friday.

Position is onsite in the Guidehouse San Antonio, TX office.

Key Responsibilities :

• Answer incoming calls and place outbound calls for soft collections.
• Review patient accounts to ensure accurate information.
• Understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to assist with inquiries.
• Provide assistance to patients regarding insurance verifications and policy statuses.
• Deliver outstanding customer service throughout all interactions.
• Update and maintain accurate patient account information.
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Fulfill all business-related requests and correspondence from patients promptly.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks efficiently.
• Identify and communicate areas of concern or suggested improvements to management.
• Conduct research to respond to all patient inquiries received by telephone and mail.
• Initiate necessary account adjustments and update demographic information.
