Job Title
Responsible for the prudent underwriting of jumbo loans in accordance with company and investor guidelines. Based on volume requirements, and experience, Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA or Non-QM loans may also be underwritten, if underwriter has proper designation for those products.

Responsibilities
- Completes a thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company and investor requirements.
- Evaluates the entire credit package and collateral for residential mortgage loans and ultimately ensures an "investment" quality loan product.
- Checks accuracy of all calculations and data integrity.
- Completion of all required underwriting worksheets found in FastTrac360 Resource Center.
- Recommends the loan disposition to manager for loan amounts in excess of authority limitation.
- Maintains company standard for productivity levels and complies with company posted turn-time for initial underwriting and clearing conditions.
- Depending on product, strives to meet 2-3 decisions / day within allotted time
- Communicates decision on loans to appropriate parties both verbally and in writing.
- Maintains underwriting activity logs and provides monthly underwriting report, as needed, to underwriting manager.
- Available to processors, correspondents and other relevant parties for general guideline interpretations and questions on specific loan files
- Responds to post closing reviews and audits in a timely fashion.

Qualifications
Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience, with solid working knowledge of underwriting guidelinesExperience with underwriting Jumbo products, including manual underwriting of loan filesExperience with underwriting other product lines such as Non-QM, Conventional, FHA (DE), VA (LAPP / SAR) and / or USDA preferredExperience with private mortgage insurance guidelines preferredSkills :
