The Target Hiring Range for this position is : $140,000-$150,000.
In keeping with the policy of conflicts of interest, relatives of Senate employees are not eligible to work in the Senate EAP Office.
The Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor to offer comprehensive, confidential support and crisis intervention services to Senate employees and their immediate family members, covering a wide array of emotional, behavioral, and workplace issues. The ideal candidate will provide psychological safety and trauma-informed care, be available during and beyond typical business hours, while maintaining the utmost confidentiality and professionalism. This position requires effective communication skills for interacting with diverse populations and the ability to provide consultative services to management, including organizational analysis and the development and facilitation of workshops. We seek a dedicated professional committed to maintaining high EAP standards and Senate policies.
Key Accountabilities / Essential Job Duties
Provides comprehensive confidential assessment, referral and follow-up emotional, behavioral, and coaching support services for Senate employees and their immediate family members addressing a wide variety of employee problems / crises within a diverse population. Provides psychological safety and trauma informed care in an emergency and thereafter – potentially outside of normal business hours. Interacts professionally with others regarding sensitive and confidential issues with a high level of effective communication skills. Provides consultative services to managers and conducts organizational needs analysis, potentially resulting in developing and facilitating group interventions and workshops. Maintains confidentiality and security of reporting and records in accordance with established EAP standards, applicable statutes and Senate policies. Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

MA degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology.
