JOB OPPORTUNITY

JOB TITLE : Transportation Aide

SITE & LOCATION OF POSITION : Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Department

TERM AND HOURS OF POSITION : 4.5 hours per day / 10 months per year

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : Under general supervision, assist with transportation needs of children. Perform a variety of functions related to the special needs of children being transported and to do other related work as assigned. Assist driver with loading and unloading students; supervise students while riding district vehicles, attending to any special needs that may occur on the vehicle including behavior management; cleaning up student spills / bodily fluids; working with parents, teachers, instructional aides, and drivers to meet the needs of the students; administering first aide if needed.

SALARY : Range 4, $16.50 per hour (includes $0.32 per hour in lieu of benefits).

SCREENING PROCEDURES : Review of applications and personal interviews.
