Senior Associate, Project Designer

AECOM  is seeking a creative highly talented Senior Associate Project Designer with extensive aviation experience to join our practice and help grow our Aviation market sector.  Were looking for a team leader who is client-facing and is experienced in project management with design & technical excellence. The successful candidate is driven by a passion for identifying project opportunities and delivering quality work.  This role is focused on growing our successful aviation architecture practice.

As a Senior Associate Project Designer with recognized technical expertise and experience in demanding design driven projects you will lead interdisciplinary teams. Leveraging your industry experience and technical acumen you will drive a wide range of aviation projects including terminal renovations hold room design security checkpoint improvements and airside facilities through all phases of design documentation and construction.

The successful candidate will be a designer who approaches aviation architecture with a passion who works well with clients and stakeholders and who understands the requirements of CBP TSA airlines and Terminal Managers.

What you will do :

• In partnership with the Project Director and Project Manager you will lead a team or multiple teams in the design and technical documentation and delivery of a wide range of projects.
• Support the pursuit of excellence in new aviation projects.
• Develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems.
• Oversee and mentor the development of more junior designers and architects.
• Support communication between project team clients vendors contractors consultants and building and permitting officials.
