Job Description
The purpose of this job is to safely weld in all position according to company specifications and standard work.
Job duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :
Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect free operations.
Hand weld all plain and alloy structural steel in all positions.
Use of jib or gantry crane to manually position weld equipment.
Grind and dress fabricated weldments.
May operate forklift, scissor lift and area lift to access weldments.
Required Qualifications :
3-5 years of FCAW and experience with 10+ multi-pass welds on heavy 2” plate.
Experience with back gouging, carbon arcing or air arcing.
Must pass 3 weld qualification tests using FCAW large diameter wire (3 / 32 and .052).
