Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Pueblo, Colorado. In this role, you will handle key accounting functions such as managing invoices, overseeing payment processes, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities :

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile financial accounts to ensure all records align with company standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries for proper documentation and compliance.
• Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect current financial activities.
• Handle corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage sales tax reporting and payment processes.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to financial records and transactions.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes as required. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing.
• Familiarity with sales tax regulations and reporting processes.
• Proficiency in creating and reviewing journal entries.
• Solid understanding of general ledger procedures and maintenance.
• Strong analytical skills to assess financial data and identify trends.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends based on business needs.
