Accounts Payable Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead and oversee the accounts payable operations within our organization. In this role, you will manage a team of professionals, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This is a long-term contract position based in Los Angeles, California, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial processes and operations.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and mentor the accounts payable team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice management, payment processing, and reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and control measures.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize accounts payable processes, including identifying opportunities for automation.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to maintain strong working relationships.
• Prepare and review accounts payable reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead audits related to accounts payable, ensuring proper documentation and support for financial reviews.
• Negotiate payment terms with vendors to achieve favorable outcomes and improve cash flow management.
• Work closely with other finance functions, such as Treasury and Tax, to ensure smooth operations and accurate reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable function. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounts payable or finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale accounts payable operations within complex organizations.
• Proficiency in financial software systems, such as Oracle Fusion or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
