The newly-created Office of Insurance Diversity and Innovation seeks a highly collaborative and engaging contributor to join our growing team as part of the nationally-recognized Insurance Diversity Program (IDP) at the California Department of Insurance (CDI). Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager II or Director of the Insurance Diversity Program, the Stakeholder Engagement Analyst assists with all efforts of the Insurance Diversity Program, including the planning, organization, and execution of the CDI-hosted insurance diversity projects and / or events; support of the Commissioner-appointed Insurance Diversity Task Force; coordination of all communications, public relations, website, and external functions regarding the Insurance Diversity Program; operational needs of the Insurance Diversity Program Team; and coordination of program evaluation, administrative & business needs.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in making governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.

Working Conditions

• The incumbent must be able to work in a high rise building.
• Some travel is required within and / or outside the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.). Travel may include overnight stay. Overtime may be required.
• The incumbent must be able to work in an enclosed or open-spaced cubicle smoke-free environment.
• The incumbent must be able to work in an office setting with artificial light and temperature control.
• Due to the nature and operational needs of the position, it may be required to work outside of normal business hours.
• The incumbent must be able to sit, stand, type, rotate, and work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time.
• The incumbent may telework in accordance with CDI's Telework Policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.
