OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Hourly Rate : $68- $85 an hour DOE
Behavior Frontiers is looking for a Part-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team to provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities or delays in home and community settings. We have an amazing opportunity in which the OT will assess the needs of the children and provide recommendations to the team, including the family. Our Infant Development Program utilizes a trans-disciplinary model, which involves a team approach between the consumer, family, and professionals from multiple disciplines, specifically Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy. Our program is designed to be individualized based on the specific needs of the consumer and the goal is to increase adaptive skills, decrease problem behaviors, and develop positive relationship between parent and child, thus increasing the whole family’s quality of life! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consult with each consumer as determined by the payor (., regional center) ranging from one time per week to one time every 6 months.
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments (., Peabody)
- Observe and assess each consumer’s skill level and areas of need
- Collaborate with child development specialists, early intervention supervisors, speech and language pathologists, family, and other professionals
- Provide recommendations for individualized occupational therapy programming and answer questions related to program
- Participate in co-visits and provide training to child development specialists, early intervention supervisors, and family members in the recommended interventions
- Model interventions and provide input on the intervention plan
- Update and modify occupational therapy program
- Attend team meetings and / or IFSP meetings
- Write brief summaries of consultation visits
- Evaluate and track consumer progress toward goals and objectives
- Write OT assessment and re-assessment reports
- Other duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Valid state license as an Occupational TherapistMaster's Degree2 years' experience designing, implementing, and evaluating occupational therapy services2 years' experience working with infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities or delays in home / community settingsDemonstrated excellence with written assessments and treatment plansStrong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with a teamAbility to pass fingerprinting and background check with no criminal recordValid driver's license and proof of auto insuranceBilingual speaking (., Spanish, Vietnamese) a plusBENEFITS
