Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $180,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate and implement complex accounting standards such as ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 805.
  • Prepare technical memos and position papers for senior leadership and external auditors.
  • Support financial reporting through statement preparation, footnote disclosures, and audit coordination.
  • Advise on accounting implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
  • Mentor accounting team members and collaborate cross-functionally to support business objectives.

Requirements :

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; an MBA is considered a plus.
  • Maintain an active CPA certification.
  • 8+ years of accounting experience and 5+ years in technical accounting roles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial systems such as Oracle, NetSuite, or Deltek, and Excel.
  • Exhibit flexibility and enthusiasm for working on diverse topics and tasks.

    • Qualifications :

  • Possess deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Showcase strong technical research and writing skills.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate findings clearly to management and stakeholders.
  • Prefer experience in public company environments or industries like engineering or professional services.
