About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its Australian operations. The successful candidate will be a key member of the international leadership team, responsible for developing and leading a growth strategy in Australia. This role demands a seasoned professional with over 10 years' experience in a senior consulting role, particularly within the energy and commodities domain. The Managing Director will be the P&L owner, defining and implementing the company's positioning in the market, and leading business development across various industries, including gas and power, LNG, oil, metals and mining, and agriculture. A strong background in consultative selling, delivery oversight, and solutioning oversight in an energy / commodity trading context is essential, as is a broad network across market participants and the vendor landscape. Key responsibilities for the Managing Director include driving the business to meet strategic objectives, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional service to clients. The role also involves significant new business development and requires the ability to recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in consultative selling, delivery oversight, and solutioning oversight, as well as experience in operating model design, business and IT transformation, and the implementation of advanced analytics platforms for trading organizations.
