This Senior Product Designer role focuses on creating seamless mobile and hardware experiences, leading design initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams within the PD&R Controls department.

Location : Richardson, Texas.

Type : Contract to Perm.

Salary : $60 - 70 per hour.

Work hours : 9am to 5pm.

Education : Bachelors.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX / UI design for B2B and B2C mobile and hardware‑integrated products, ensuring intuitive navigation and responsive design.
• Understand user needs by consuming research insights and designing journey maps.
• Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs that clearly communicate intent across teams.
• Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency across products.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing to ensure designs are desirable, feasible, and viable.
• Contribute to long‑term experience strategy.
• Advocate for accessibility, usability, and consistency across all touchpoints.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in mobile UX, hardware interaction, and cross‑platform design.

Qualifications

5+ years in UX / UI design, with a portfolio showcasing mobile app and hardware‑integrated experiences.

Experience in design for cross‑platform native applications (Android and iOS).

Demonstrate user empathy and curiosity.

Expertise in design and prototyping tools, including Figma.

Expertise in Figma‑based design systems.

Strong understanding of user‑centered design principles, accessibility, and responsive design.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred : Experience designing for IoT devices, wearables, or hardware ecosystems. Familiarity with gesture‑based interactions, haptics, and mobile performance constraints. Soft skills : Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving abilities.
