Hiring Commercial Electricians at all levels.

Looking for those with ability and to travel for assignments throughout florida

Journeymen (Commercial electrician with a license or with the level of expected aptitude of a license-holding Journeymen).

Mechanics (Proficient and capable raceway installer (EMT, PVC / MC / GRC, etc, and wall rough)

Apprentice (Has and maintains personally all tools of trade, 1+ year relevant commercial on-the-job experience)

Helpers (Laborers / Those seeking to become apprentices)

• Pay Rate Range;

$17.00 an hour to $35.00 an hour(Helpers-JM).

(Pay is based on skill level.)

Electrician Job Description & Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools.

Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical components, equipment, or systems to ensure proper functioning. This may require working from ladders, lifts, or scaffolds.

Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings using hand and power tools.

Place conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed. areas.

Construct or fabricate parts using hand tools according to the specified requirements.

Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduits or moving or lifting heavy objects.

Inspect electrical units for loose connections and damaged insulation, and secure connections using hand tools.

Must be reliable, responsible, take ownership and pride in one's work, as well as have integrity.

Minimum Requirements :

Experienced Mechanics with at least 2 years of experience in single & three-phase power, and proper NEC code knowledge and installation.

Journeymen and foremen with at least 5 years of experience in the position.

Must be available to work on the job site, min 7 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday, typical work site hours. 10-hour Shifts and weekends as scheduled and project determined.

Reliable transportation to the JOB SITE.

PPE and own basic tools required for the trade.

Good attitude and works well with others.

Hiring Experienced Commercial Electricians, Licensed journeymen, mechanic's, electrical Helpers / Apprentices for New Commercial & Industrial work in Broward, Miami and Palm Beach County area and throughout the state of Florida. This position is responsible for providing professional installation, per design plans of new and electrical systems and components.

Seeking to full fill positions for the following.

Responsibilities

Execute plans of electrical layout, New service branch services and grounding, rough-in and trim out for lighting, lighting controls switch and LV controls dimming ..etc.,, electrical devices, and other electrical systems

Must have foresight on job, including planning ahead and identify issues in advance.

Must be able to write and schedule through material lists for job / jobs in advance.

Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems

Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)

Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components

Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them

Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.

Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units

Must have DL and be able to read and write.

Must have NEC Code book and Electrical tradesmen's tools.

Must be able to arrive to job site as scheduled.

Meet management performance and skill set expectations.

Skills

Proven experience as an electrician

Must be able to read and install based upon electrical plans, elevations, details and RCP, make written conduit layouts, circuit schedules and keep as-built records

Experience in industrial and / or commercial electrical systems

Thorough knowledge of electrical safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines (lock out tag out, and temp power safety).

Be responsible and take Responsibility (Seeking advancement and recognition by Merritt of performance, accomplishment and leadership).

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

Excellent physical condition and flexibility.

Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician or other college degree or courses a plus.
