Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Howmet's Houston Extrusion Plant (77061) focuses on converting specialty metals into value added extrusions for the aerospace and defense industries. The Maintenance Technician supports production operations by inspecting, monitoring, repairing, and maintaining the operation of all production equipment and plant systems. We are seeking maintenance techs with high voltage experience that is also willing to support with daily PMs and be a team player.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Performs inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and plant systems
• Performs preventative maintenance in accordance with written instructions
• Communicates equipment concerns with operators, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to diagnose and repair issues
• Documents status and completion of work orders and projects via use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Documents spares condition, inventory levels, and usage via CMMS
• Maintains clean work area and organized tool box
• Ensure work is in compliance with of all site safety policies including lockout / tagout
• Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
