About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Campaigns : Ballot Initiatives to lead its multi-state strategy for advancing primary reform. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering policy victories that align with the organization's mission of nonpartisan election reform. This role involves driving a strategic, portfolio-level approach to state-based campaign work, overseeing a team that manages all aspects of campaign execution, and fostering collaboration with peer funders. The VP will also be accountable for team management, including coaching, mentoring, and ensuring the team is resourced to deliver impact at scale. Strong communication skills are essential for representing the organization's strategy and priorities to a range of stakeholders.

Applicants must have a strong desire to reform the political system, with a focus on primary reform, and at least 10 years' of experience, including a minimum of 5 years' in a management role. The role requires a proven track record in managing teams that oversee state campaign portfolios, particularly ballot campaigns, and a deep understanding of the political landscape. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter with strong critical thinking skills, a strong relationship builder, and an exceptional leader with the ability to inspire a high-performing team. A background in grantmaking and philanthropic strategy is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at fostering a high-performing, inclusive team culture and ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
