Must Be LICENSED Key responsibilities : Installation : Installing new plumbing fixtures, pipes, and appliances like toilets, sinks, water heaters, and dishwashers. Repair and Maintenance : Diagnosing and fixing plumbing issues such as leaks, clogged drains, faulty faucets, and broken pipes. Reading blueprints : Interpreting building plans to understand the layout of plumbing systems. Code compliance : Ensuring all plumbing work meets local building codes and safety standards. Customer interaction : Communicating with clients to understand their needs, provide estimates, and discuss project details. Troubleshooting : Identifying the root cause of plumbing problems and determining the best course of action to resolve them. Material selection : Choosing appropriate pipes, fittings, and other materials for specific plumbing jobs. Permits and inspections : Obtaining necessary permits for plumbing work and coordinating with inspectors to ensure compliance. Required skills : Technical knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems, including pipe types, materials, and installation techniques Hand tools proficiency : Ability to use various plumbing tools like wrenches, pipe cutters, drills, and threaders Problem-solving skills : Identifying and resolving complex plumbing issues Physical ability : Ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods Communication skills : Effectively communicating with clients and other professionals Work environment : Primarily working in residential and commercial buildingsMay involve working outdoors in some situationsExposure to wet and dirty working conditionsRequirements :
